Content Guru, Europe’s leading cloud contact centre and customer experience (CX) technology provider, and Sheffield City Council, one of Britain’s three largest Local Authorities, have together been handed the prestigious accolade of ‘Best Public Sector Digital Project’ at the Computing Digital Technology Leaders Awards 2023.
The Digital Technology Leader Awards recognise outstanding digital technology achievements, and showcase teams that have effectively harnessed the capabilities of a solution to deliver efficient and comprehensive results. The annual programme, hosted by Computing, the UK’s longest established IT publication, celebrates the top performers in the UK digital space, from website design and user experience (UX) through to project management. Winners this year were selected on their ability to implement efficient solutions to overcome the challenges of rapidly evolving digital needs and the benefits they provide to the public.
Sheffield City Council and Content Guru were cited as having implemented the ‘Best Public Sector Digital Project’ for their innovative rent collection service, based on Content Guru’s storm® cloud contact centre solution. Since the two organisations began rolling out services together in early 2020, Sheffield has been able to improve its community relations and become a technology leader in the Public Sector space, utilising storm’s automation capabilities, artificial intelligence technology, and ability to create bespoke customer journeys. storm was introduced during the Covid-19 pandemic and immediately prevented loss of service during a time of crisis, before going on to become a catalyst for digital change.
An expert panel of judges, including Computing’s Editor Tom Allen, deemed storm’s implementation at Sheffield “A great project in a complex space.” The awards were held at a ceremony in the Leonardo Royal Hotel, London, where teams from all over the UK, and beyond, celebrated the achievements of forward-thinking and innovative projects and individuals.
